Set for release May 12 ahead of summer U.S. tour

(MEMPHIS, TN) – The newest faces of Visible Worship, the perennially critically acclaimed touring band of Visible Music College, are all smiles heading into May as they prep for the release of their EP, Oasis, on Madison Line Records.

The heart of this band, whose members began collaborating last fall, is receiving and giving back to God through authentic, passionate worship – and you’ll hear it in every beat of Oasis. From original songs (“The Magnificat,” “Oasis”) to reimagined traditional hymns (“Come Thou Font”), this EP confidently shares the self-assured sound of Visible Worship with the world just in time for the band’s upcoming summer tour.

They’ll perform at youth camps, churches and conferences in Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas this summer, and are currently running an EP pre-order campaign via IndieGogo to raise funds for the tour. You can find out more right here.

Be Thou My Vision

(MEMPHIS, TN) – When the members of Visible Worship left the listening party for their debut EP a week ago, they couldn’t have known what was about to happen. The feedback from their friends and peers at Visible Music College was glowing – but no amount of praise would’ve predicted this for the new band.

Visible Worship’s debut EP, released May 8, charged up the iTunes charts eventually landing at No. 5 on the Christian music chart (and No. 1 in Christian records under $8) less than 48 hours later.

Madison Line Records COO Antonio Neal says he thinks the record will continue to climb, and that this achievement represents a significant milestone for the label and the band.

“I’m happy for Visible Music College, Madison Line, the students and the band,” he says. “The greatest part to me was the synergy that happened. It felt like everyone – staff, parents, students – became part of the band. I’m just so proud of them.”

Now in its second incarnation, Visible Worship is building a foundation at Memphis’ Visible Music College, with new talented student musicians joining its ranks each year with a shared mission: making incredible music and spreading an incredible message. The 2014 iteration of the line-up includes Lance, songwriting major from Palestine, Texas, on acoustic guitar; Kyle, from Apex, N.C., on bass; Josh, from Fon du Lac, Wisc., on drums; Andrew, of Memphis, plays electric guitar and joins – last, but certainly not least – Jordan, also of Memphis, on lead vocals.

"The theme this year is ‘Everyday Star,’ focusing on Jesus coming to this world as an ordinary human, and yet, the most extraordinary gift we’ve ever been given,” says Visible Music College President Ken Steorts. “He is the true star, an Everyday Star.

The 5 song EP features faculty members from both the Memphis and Chicago campuses and includes standout tracks from Jason Lee McKinney’s “I Wish I Had a Sleigh,” a Stax-inspired soul tune that combines a classic Christmas feel with a gritty blues guitar groove and that Memphis sound, and Steorts’ “Everyday Star,” a power-pop tinged track that brings the past and present world of rock together under one refrain. The album also features original music by Curtis Wayne Hunt and Nao Lewandowski.
